Doc - 99% of the time I'm the only person in my plus and never carry anything so can manage a small two door impractical car. I'm not selling it yet but does it make sense having an automatic estate as my weekend car?
4everRS - The premiers are very cheap at £80 a set, so, like I said, a good 'value for money' pad, I doubt they're better than the DS2500 pads.
2009 Audi RS 6 Saloon V10 - 420mm Ceramics, Keyless, Soft Close, Adaptive Cruise, Glass Sunroof, Blinds, Twin Pane & UV, Freeview & DAB, High Beam Assist, MTM bits, Audi Exclusive Bits, MRC, Milltek, GYEF1 ASY2's, Bluetooth streaming music to AMI mod - 753PS, 1021 NM
2016 Audi S3 Saloon S-Tronic, Sepang, B&O, Tech Pack w/connect, 19" 5 Arm Wing Alloys, Comfort Pack, LED Light Pack - Company Car
1995 Audi A8 4.2 V8 quattro Sport

Ferodo do a pad that's pitched between the 'premier' and the 2500. The former is very much a 'base' pad whilst (for most people) doing day to day driving, the ds2500 is too track orientated. Personally, having had the 'cheaper' Mintex ones, I wouldn't get the basic pads again as I feel its false economy

Amar, the rs6 doesnt make sense by any barometer, its faster then you can ever go, it consumes far too much money for what a car in essence is essentially used for so whilst it doesnt make sense most cars dont if one rationalises to the nth degree. You could argue , and I have done, no prizes for guessing with whom, that whilst yes its not as ostentatious as either the RRS or CTS I had before (one of the reasons for getting rid as I`m not like that), the boot means I can travel with luggage but one could do so at speed if one desired.. :biggrin3:

I will add as a footnote that apart from a select few most cars are depreciating assets, the rs6 is an emotive car, highly unnecessary but discrete(to a degree) and strangely alluring.... :kissmyrings:

Oh and I love it... :jump:

I`m less beef and more stallion..I`m sleek but strong, muscular but agile...a perfect compliment, the equivalent of putting 105 RON into your lady, lets the horses come out and play..

At the moment however, I feel like a 1.9tdi as I overdid a recent run..

I love it, the novelty of a huge V8 car in a sleeper estate car body still hasn't worn off. Windows down, meaty Milltek goodness, blip on downshifts. For me there's always going to have to be an Audi in the stable, although if I ever have kids and need to do lots of town miles - ie. actually drive it everyday rather than just evenings and weekends - the V8 really doesn't make sense.

Looking at what else I could be driving for the money, mates dad recently treated himself to another toy, cannot believe how little he paid, 2001 Porsche 996 Carrera 4 in seal grey, full black leather including dash, xenons, sunroof, turbo 18s, full history, serviced every year, all but last two Porsche, 50k all for the same price I paid for my S4 two years ago....

Love can overcome many barriers but struggles to overcome practical ones.

Aha, so another household with a 6/Cupra combo. Seem to play together fairly well and even agree to share VAG-COM occasionally! :D
