As this is an easyish job I will try this first then go to the input shaft guide sleeve if it doesn't work.

I had the hose changed by the dealer
also new slave
fluid flushed
and heat shield/sleeve on the line

still happens, a bit less, but repeatable
if I rev the engine in neutral a few times, it will do it

no, not worth it until I do the clutch, which with70 miles shouldn't be for a while
when I do I will make sure to inspect the guide to see which type I have and make sure I get the newer part

So I have picked up the replacement clutch return pipe (8E0721465) pictured, which I am going to get fitted next week. Am I right in saying that the new part has a metal pipe, and the old part has a plastic pipe? Is this visible to the naked eye, or is the old pipe still metal, but internals have changed? Trying to find out, as if I get the car on the ramp and it already has the metal clutch return pipe then there is no point in doing the job?! Advice much appreciated.......

Interested in this^^^ is this a hydraulic return pipe? Or is there a cable that runs inside?

I had mine replaced

small steel line plugs into slave (similar to yours) connected ~10" of rubber hose (some think this is the problem, collapses and inhibits return) connected to another 12" of stteel to the master

that piece on mine is steel, slightly different shape

I am going to run a test
car warmed up
depress clutch and rev engine a few times, see if I get the isse, sticky, pedal stays down
then let it cool for a minute
do with the pedal out, rev it a few times, then see if I get the issue

if I only get it when depressed (release bearing out on busshing) seems to indicate it is the bushing

added a pic, hose oriented to connect to the slave, the silver tubing is the heat sleeving I had the dealer put on

is the tube screwed into or pressed into the fitting/bushing?

is that a spring-clip on the busshing? is there a ball and spring in it? or just open?

looked at my receipt

they put on
8E1721465BK (the whole hose)
8E0721465 (the nipple section you got)

did not fix it

looked in the box they returned the old parts in (I had H&R springs installed during the DRC recall and had the hose done)

I have that part you have
the hose pops into it, and it into the slave
the spring clip is missing, but the hose and the piece you got both have pop in fittings

so it appears the old and replacement part are the same, and both are steel
