Insurance have offered me £20k for the car so now it's time to go shopping for a new ride. Anyone selling ? Looking for a cabriolet in sprint blue or black car, ideally with buckets and bluetooth

It looks like you had an exclusive interior, so how does that work? i.e to replace your car with the same interior would cost a heck of a lot more than a "standard" one. I'd push for more than £20k tbh - that's your starting figure.

I haven't accepted the offer yet, but it's a good starting point to know how much cash I have to spend

The insurance people use Galss's guide, however this doesn't take into account the optional extras so I have to submit a load of paperwork to the to prove that they need to cough up the extra

This seems ridiculous.

How about your car...is it in good shape? Engine running strong? Consuming any oil? How's the trans? 3rd gear synchro gone yet?

I ask because if your car is in good shape, I would do everything I could to keep it. RS4s are not new...they're 5-6 years old, many of them. I wouldn't really want to be buying another high-ish mileage car if I didn't know it inside out.

To that end, I would try to organize a settlement with the insurance company, and then source a set of black or silver (the more common colours) buckets/rears to replace yours with.

I've found a replacement set of seats so I'm going to get them and buy back the car. The seats are not the right colour but I can get the re-trimmed for a lot less than buying the whole package from Audi
