I'd have to agree with Amar on this one...and we all know that doesn't happen often :) ...great restraint shown...I've not seen a "spotted on the M6" post in months...good work fella

In all honesty when that car came up for sale previously I wanted it. But now I have seen it for sale again I do not think its worth 10.5k.

The HR coilovers are really saggy on the back, this would annoy me greatly.
The passenger door 'pops' itself open.
Its in Aberdeen which is a treck for me to go and see.
Chipped windscreen, again will do my head in.

To get this to be immaculate, in my eyes, it would need a couple of k spending on it, which is why I cant justify spending 10k of my hard earned cash on it.

Yeah but, £12k for an rs6. Can't believe how little these are going for now. Shocking, truely shocking.

My point is, these are super cars, £12k to own one is nothing really.

A windscreen and a fix for a dodgy door, a couple of k spending. Still a bargain. I'd say it take 4-6k to set an average C5 'right'. Paul's has provenance, the right mods (MTM) and amazingly well cared for exterior.

That door not shutting right is a common C5 fault, not too bad a fix if I recall. Windscreens are about £2-300, and an hours labour to fit, or take a hammer to it and pay your £60 excess, with the money saved sort the suspension.

Car is provisionally sold now to a forum member who asked all the right questions :) but :( .

Thanks for the (positive) comments, I feel some people have unrealistic expectations of what to expect from what is, now, a relatively old car (in all cases).

Anyway, I'm gutted to see it go, have been wanting one for years, but needs must and I'd rather see it go to an enthusiast than go the way a lot of them seem to be now (10 owners in less than 10 years must be a typo!).

Anyway, although I have not really contributed to the forum much apart from advertising stuff  , it has been a great source of info for me, and I hope you guys keep it up.

Cheers,

Paul
