Looking at a car and it has 10 previous owners. Would this put anyone off? Car looks mint, but the 10 ownership thing is really putting me off.

the owners wouldn't bother me. i know an enthusiast who favours it, he said the first thing a new owner does is clean it and spend money on it.

If something doesn't feel right trust your instinct and stay away. The amount of times I say to myself why didn't I listen to my instinct and not get/do that. Some good points above though.

Is he saying "I'll get this fixed but I'll raise the price slightly to reflect the repaired CV"? How the fcuk does that logic work?! What if all the windows were smashed in, would he say "look, all the windows got kicked in but I can sell it as is or I can have it fixed but the price will go up to cover my expenses for the new windows"... In the current climate I'd say he was about a grand too much...£10k tops...but 10 owners...I'd hazzard a guess at least 4 of those will have been punters that have spotted a problem...gearbox probably...and got rid...10 owners... man that's a lot!
