Hi there,
My new 1-yr old RS3 is supposed to have adaptive headlights. I was parked opposite a large window tonight when I turned on the power and lights. They did the normal up-down motion of Xenon lights but no side-to-side motion; I though adaptive lights were supposed to do this on start-up?
Can anyone tell how to confirm that the car does indeed have adaptive lights? Am I just mistaken?
Cheers,
Dan
Adaptive headlights?
Re: Adaptive headlights?
In my ex TT RS there was just up-down motion.
Adaptive headlights?
Not seen side to side on RS3 or any other car.

Adaptive headlights?
I have the adaptive lights and on startup they only do the up down sweep. They are fantastic though on full beams once moving...

Got the adaptive headlights on my RS4 - on startup the lights move up and down and then side to side. At first it was quite spooky at night watching the lights pointing round the corner.doodlebug wrote:Not seen side to side on RS3 or any other car.

Yeah mine has them also, they take a while to get used to at first but it's one of the things i miss now when driving the wifes car at night...PetrolDave wrote:Got the adaptive headlights on my RS4 - on startup the lights move up and down and then side to side. Re: Adaptive headlights?
So I don't need to be worried I just need to go out in the dark and check the old fashioned way?

Re: Adaptive headlights?
Went out after dark last night (braving the floods!) and the lights were working spot-on.
Happy days!
