Cucking Funts

Post by Bushy » Thu Feb 27, 2003 7:27 am

While at Donnington Park Yesterday John Roberts had his 19" sportec wheels stolen from one of the pit side garages

I personally cant believe this, he arrived on the Sportecs then changed to some std rims with old tyres

Just after lunch someone saw a couple of guys loading his rims into a gold/bronze volvo

These wheels are rare with probably only 4 sets of this size in the UK, 19 x 10

If anyone hears about them please let us know

Also they arent going to be much use to a volvo owner as they only fit on VAG cars, and with tat size it will only be RS4 or A6/S6/RS6

Not good at all and my commiserations go to John

Stunned.....

Thieving gits... I assume that these characters weren't taking part ?

I've seen people chain all 4 wheels together at trackdays before now....

That is totally [censored]. There are some real ar$eholes out there who have no respect for other peoples property and consider it okay just to take what they don't have or can afford .

As far as insurance is concerned - I wonder if it is worth claiming under Contents Insurance as they are an item which you have removed from the house and are therefore a personal possesion. Just a thought and may help to reduce the impact on the car insurance.....

Thanks chaps
But in future will be less trusting and more careful
Couple of points
The complete lack of security at Donnington yesterday, total unhelpfulness of the track officals, and the fact that it had been happing the week before, no warnings, and that CCTV was in place but no taping was done.
Shame on you Donnington Park for gross negligence
If you want people to fund your inactivity during the winter months then get your act together...fast!

John, can you email any information you have regarding times, dates etc I can check on our national motorway camera network for the Volvo. It may be locals, but the wheels are a bit special so I would suspect that the twats travelled with a view to borrowing your wheels. (just my view) You never know, if I have a make, colour, model I can track any car along the motorway network and provide you with a registration for the police. I would appreciate if you could email this direct, and not via the forum.

Matt C go on my son! JR, what a bitch, can't believe that people could actually do that. I agree with the idea that they must be on the lookout for these wheels for a specific reason, that's no impulse theft. My old A8 4.2 had the 17" 5 spoke beasts on it that were rather desireable apparently, and when in Belgium some ba$tards stole them in the night, from in a glitzy hotel parking lot, with CCTV and even a security chap sat there. They were smart asses though, crawled under a line of cars from out of the camera's view and removed the wheels slowly from underneath the car. Real skilled guys, but they didn't even brick it up, so when I got in to drive away, the left rear was gone, and my getting in just tipped the whole car backwards. Still wonder why they only stole that one wheel. Odd. Anyway, anything that can be done to find these to$$ers should be if you ask me. And when you find them, shoot them

Would this be another application for the wheels?
