I'm unfortunately out this one, my cars being used as a show car at ussc that day and I'm flying off to Ibiza on the Monday morning so I've got to spend some time with my daughter before I go

Thats a real pity Danny, i'm sure lots of people were looking forward to seeing your car at the Gathering after following all the build details on here for the last year or so. Whats ussc?

Correction it's the Scottish car show at ingilston Iain I missed it last year and I think around 15000 people attended it so I'd like to show the car this year mate! You'll be the first to see mines when it's back

Danny, Ingleston, that brings back 'so many' memories, used to go to every monthly race meeting there in my Downton tuned 1275cc Cooper S,

red with a black roof, back in the 70s.

Jenny Birrel and her husband, Ford Escorts, Gerry Marshall, Snoot nosed Vauxhall Firenza, Andy Barton, Mini, Alex Clacher, Hillman Imp Etc.

used to drive up with my girlfriend at the time, as fast as you could on the Saturday, no speed cameras, vascar, mobile camera vans then

have a meal, drinks and stay in an Edinburgh hotel overnight, then after breakfast head straight to the circuit and

enjoy a full day of close, exciting racing, then head home, often racing fellow race spectators!! Those were fantastic times

Anyone else on here remember doing the same ???

Can't believe how few there are this year compared to last. Granted a fair few there have moved on motors wise but was rather hoping some of the new generation RS4 owners would want to come along? Oh well, more manageable numbers for a few little excursions out over the Yorkshire dales without anyone getting lost out of the convoys.
