I thought I should post pics of my phantom black 2009 C6 RS6 saloon down at City Beach, Perth and at the Perth Motorplex 'Whoop Ass Wednesday".
I believe the black beast aka 'darth vader' has APR 98 RON map and hi-flow MRC filters. Also has 'black optic' look with gloss and matte black vinyl wrap on the ally trim. Cheaper than removing trim, etching it and repainting. If I want to go back to ally trim look, just peel off the wrap. Also some carbon fibre vinyl wrap on under bonnet removal black plastic panels and not to mention ECS audi four ring valve caps!

ps will be interested to see how D-K's titanium 7 spoke rims look. I was considering matte black chrome look for my 7 spoke wheels.

while looking at the black plus C6 RS6 'black optics', i see the top half of the mirrors are blacked out. Most of the 'black optics' i have seen show top half mirror brushed aluminium, which I prefer.

Hi chunky79,

Here is a useful comparison of the jag XFR with the standard C6 RS6 saloon - on the road and track.

http://www.jaguar.com/content/market/au ... fr_pdf.pdf

The XFR comes out on top all round as a daily driver and is a pretty car a la Aston Martin. However I am a jaguar tragic myself with a 1969 E Type convertible, but the C6 RS6 is an awesome beast. I prefer the C6 RS6 over the XFR Jag for the greater power plus extra safety of AWD with wet weather conditions. The RS6 on comfort mode suspension setting provides quite a good ride, nearly up there with the XFR. The Lamborghini derived V10 TT of the RS6 is unique as well.

As many other posters have attested, a mapped C6 RS6 is a totally differnt beast to a standard one- a rocket ship, but still reliable and no different as a daily driver to standard until you put 'the pedal to the metal'.

john

ps if jag were to come out with an AWD twin turbo charged V8 XFR, I would be very tempted, but it is still not a V10 TT that can be easily mapped to 700 bhp!!
At my local Jag club, the C6 RS6 is a 'shock and awe' machine with much respect.

In one trip I took 19 * 25 litre water containers, 5 Poly insulator boxes and 7 * 50 kilo salt containers back to the aquarium store (after moving our marine aquarium) yesterday in the RS6 today ... fastest delivery truck ever :biggrin3:

sad thing was I have 1 * 25 litre water container (yes one) I just could NOT fit in so I have one trip to take a 25l container back ... lol
Ex RS6 C6 Driver, gone but not forgotten.. The best car I have ever owned
