Changing the downpipes yesterday went pear shaped, been out to do a job this morning and some bloody idiots decided to have a crash on the motorway so 2 hours turned into 4 hours.
That seems to have done the trick.
Happy mode back on, well we'll see
previous- Pug 205 gti, 306 gti, 309 gti Goodwood.
Audi S3, S4 V8 avant.
Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there!

well its cheer up dunc day, so i'll get the ball rolling!!

A lawyer married a woman who had previously divorced ten husbands.

On their wedding night, she told her new husband, "Please be gentle, I'm still a virgin."

"What?" said the puzzled groom.

"How can that be if you've been married ten times?"

"Well, Husband #1 was a sales representative: he kept telling me how great it was going to be.

Husband #2 was in software services: he was never really sure how it was supposed to function, but he said he'd look into it and get back to me.

Husband #3 was from field services: he said everything checked out diagnostically but he just couldn't get the system up.

Husband #4 was in telemarketing: even though he knew he had the order, he didn't know when he would be able to deliver.

Husband #5 was an engineer: he understood the basic process but wanted three years to research, implement, and design a new state-of-the-art method.

Husband #6 was from finance and administration: he thought he knew how, but he wasn't sure whether it was his job or not.

Husband #7 was in marketing: although he had a nice product, he was never sure how to position it.

Husband #8 was a psychologist: all he ever did was talk about it.

Husband #9 was a gynecologist: all he did was look at it.

Husband #10 was a stamp collector: all he ever did was... God! I miss him! But now that I've married you, I'm really excited!"

"Good," said the new husband, "but, why?"

"You're a lawyer. This time I know I'm gonna get screwed!"
I used to own a 6, now I'm just a lurker!

I've just bought the newer flat bottom version. Hoping to retro fit it, once reading some of the guides and yes I'm aware about the airbag, just need to know what slip ringi need and any other bits. Personally I think the wheel dates the interior

Good luck i've been trying to do this for 2 - 3 weeks now :audibash: trying to get the standard steering wheel control module to understand LIN commands from the new type multifunction wheel is not happening. I think i need a different steering wheel control module from a later car but then all the wiring and multiplugs are different. A forum member has done this but he's not around any more Tartan rob was his name.

ok, a quick google brought up this

Hi guys, there is a tutorial here:

http://www.a6klub.pl/-a6-c5-nowa-kie...02-vt37599.htm

but it's in polish so use google translator and let me know if you need any help.

Main idea - old mfsw controller j453 cannot handle C6/TT/R8 steering wheel electronics, so you have to get rid of it, put in a new mfsw controller, programm it and plug into can bus.
You need:
- sc ring with minimum 9 lines - 1J0959654 M
-1K0 907 530 K – GateWay to programm new controller
• 8P0 953 549 K – mfsw controller
• 8J0124 – steering wheel - for instance
• 4B0 973 705 + 4B0 973 605 - connectors
