C5 RS6 'Option' 18" nine spoke alloys in Silver

Post by Mr Footlong » Sun Mar 11, 2012 5:15 pm

Hi guys

I finally got around to giving these a quick touchup and wash, no actual wheel cleaning products used, so here they are for sale. I have 4 18" Audi 9 spoke RS6 'Option' wheels and they are ET30 8.5Jx18H2 as stamped inside the rims. 5x112 stud pattern.

Anyway, they were on my beast when I bought her in November. 3 of the tyres were virtually new and 1 was worn so I immediatly stuck on a new matched tyre. Shortly after I got the itch to change the wheels totally and after I had people messaging me on here wanting me to split the old wheels/tyres, I went ahead and split them. PM 'Interest' dried up and here I am, with a set of wheels and a set of tyres for sale. The tyres are all shown here - http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=95425

Right, back to these. Sadly, through no fault of MRC's, the people that they use to do their alignments I also asked to split the tyres from the rims when she went in for final settled suspension/wheel alignment on the new wheels that were fitted at the same time. Whoever did this was very rough with the tyre hooking machine as I was left with marks on all 4 rims where the device had been used and on one it has actually gone through the paint! I have touched up all 4 wheels for whoever the new owner will be but whoever that is may well want to throw a refurb at these. I believe the previous owner did but had it done on the cheap....

I have taken a few full res photos so you can hopefully get all the detail that you want and they are linked to below:

On the second from last photo you can see a fair few marks on the inside of the lower right wheel. One of the other wheels also has these marks but less of them. Not sure if they were from a wheel straightening machine or something but there are no signs of stress on the rims that I can see and no signs of huge weights used to counter anything. They felt perfectly balanced on the car until I took them off.

Right, down to it. I am in Farnham, Surrey and in an ideal world I would like someone to collect them. I would like £300 for all 4 which I don't think is unreasonable?

I would quite possibly do a bundle deal with the tyres too for about £650 for the lot.

CheeRS,

Nick :)

rs4

rs6

hardly visible, but its the edges of the spoke, the rs4 ones has a edge which fades from the middle to the centre...the rs6 ones doesnt fade...

There will be a part number stamped on your wheel somewhere, but this isn't the place to discuss this. Footlong is trying to sell his wheels here!

Well i just trying to help find out which rims they are cos Mr Footlong isnt sure as mentioned in his first post....
Dont see the point why this would have a disadvantage selling them. I think the potential buyer (and Mr Footlong) would like to know for sure what hes buying/selling.

Sorry, Mav, you are quite right. Didn't read the OP properly and thought you were highjacking footlong's thread.

Anyway, I reckon Footlong's wheels are the wheel deal (groan) just got my RS6 press pack out and the wheels on it are identical to the ones in his photos.

This is the imposter:

Could that be a replica? Or the winter wheel?

Extract from original Audi photo of the RS6:

Of course, if footlong would get off this RS and have a look at the part number on the wheel, we wouldn't be debating this. ;)

Wow, I somehow missed all of this thread!!!

Camberley Audi told me that the car came with the 18" 'option' wheels as ordered by the original buyer if that helps.

Hello, what tyres do you have to go with? Do the wheels have tyre pressure sensors?

Cheers!

PS If my wife wouldn't divorce me I'd buy your wheels. Then I'd have a set of each!

No but seriously I don't have enough space to store yet another set here AND keep my OCD neatness habit satisfied.

GLWS though!
