Are the turbo's not under a lot of stress though ? surely they will go bang at some point ??

Getting high torque outputs from the turbos puts different stresses on them than top end bhp - max torque will be in the mid rpm zone where the turbos can flow well at huge pressure ratios, for relatively little spin rates. This high pressure ratio that puts a lot of load on the turbos thrust bearing, which can indeed go bang.

It's likely that the Loba turbos on Amandas car have very good thrust bearings, hence running the high pressures in the midrance & high torque figures

Indeed it probably does, being Loba's no doubt. However, I'm going to go out on a very green, shaky and narrow bamboo shoot limb to say this: "What happens when a car with a slipping slushbox is dyno'd?"

Depends on why it's slipping. If it's slipping because the clutch drums are screwed then not all the power is being transferred from one gear to the other. If it's slipping because your TC is toast then it depends on what's wrong with the TC. If it's the lock-up clutch then it shouldn't make any difference because your TC won't lock under WOT anyway, which is what you'd be dynoing at.

So the dyno sheet should have a lower or higher torque number? I know logic should state that it would be lower due to slippage, but dyno's can be confused/confusing in how they measure torque.

Could be either depending on what is slipping. The torque multiplication phenomenon that is induced by the TC only adds to the confusion. I believe this is why so many RS6 display such high torque numbers. Until the impellor and stator are almost at the same speed, there will be some kind of torque multiplication going on. Slushboxes are black magic, I tell thee.
