Dealer problem with DRC, Help please!
Dealer problem with DRC, Help please!
Car went in for a service today and got a phone call to say one of the front shocks it leaking.
-Told him that's covered under warranty as car only has 22k and isn't 5 years old yet, he said its only covered for 3 years!
How do I prove to him that it's still covered?

I remember seeing an email on here that could be printed out and used as proof, but I cant seem to find it now.
Re: Dealer problem with DRC, Help please!
The stealer needs to get approval from Audi HQ for authorisation to carry out repair FOC (It's not a warranty repair, but a goodwill gesture from Audi)
It's worth pointing out that one of the qualifications for the goodwill work, is that the car must have FASH.

Re: Dealer problem with DRC, Help please!
I do not believe this is true - others have had a goodwill repair with incomplete Audi service history.guffy wrote: It's worth pointing out that one of the qualifications for the goodwill work, is that the car must have FASH.

I was shown this criteria when at my local dealer, even though i qualified for the goodwill repair.adsgreen wrote:I do not believe this is true - others have had a goodwill repair with incomplete Audi service history.guffy wrote: It's worth pointing out that one of the qualifications for the goodwill work, is that the car must have FASH.
I think it's fair to say that inconsistencies are not uncommon amongst Audi dealers though!
Re: Dealer problem with DRC, Help please!
thats the whole point of goodwill guys ... its discretionary, and thus FASH puts it more in your favour.
OP, tell your dealer you believe Audi UK will cover it as goodwill ... if they push back on you, contact Audi UK to resolve it, and have a moan that your dealer hasnt taken the initiative and looked after you - they want to hear your feedback

Email jeremy.hicks@audi.co.uk head honcho at AUDI UK
I've had all four shock absorbers replaced within the last month & the DRC system re-pressurised FOC at YEOVIL AUDI.
My car is a "57" plate RS4 Avant which had been serviced by AUDI specialist JBS AUTO DESIGNS in Chesterfield, all of it's life.
I had the 40k service carried out by YEOVIL AUDI (PAUL GOULD is the chap to speak to) 01935 411808
& commented about my non-AUDI service history. Fortunately, I had all bills showing that genuine Audi parts had been used throughout.
I was polite but firm, pointing out that I believed this to be covered by EU Block Exemption rules and the car was accepted for a goodwill repair subject to their being no underbody damage caused by me.
FOKKER has since had two shock absorbers replaced FOC by YEOVIL AUDI despite having hit a brick wall with CARDIFF AUDI.
Basically, if your car is approaching its 5th birthday and you have your doubts about the DRC system, get yourself down to your local AUDI dealer and get it checked out,
Good luck.....

Right then Spagbol - instead of being a smartass, why don't you display your obviously superior wit and knowledge and inform Connor_S who exactly the guy he should contact at AUDI HQ is...?
That's what the guy is asking of the forum - isn't it?

He's got a hell of a lot to do then... but Jeremy Hicks was always very helpful (it was pressure we put on him that got the 5 year DRC goodwill), I hope Martin Sander turns out to be at least as helpful.SpagBol wrote:Im sure the Director of Audi is busy enough trying to improve Customer Experience across the whole Audi network
