Ok, well I had the wheels off, chickened out adjusting the ride height myself but adjusted the damping and removed the 2 inner wheel arch lining bolts that were catching on the fronts. While doing this I noticed that the wheel bolts looked a little on the short side for me as hopefully the picture below will show, regarding the dirty thread part that is obviously mating with the hub:
P1010285.JPG
Although the threaded parts of the hub looked to only be about 1cm deep when I glanced at them, it was still a little bit too close for my liking. Thoughts? While I am at it I really need locking wheel bolts as I am surrounded by theiving pikey who steal everything they can. I have searched through the threads and the opinion is that anything non-Audi is a real risk. All I care about is if there is one that won't sheer itself off and will be long enough. Will ring Camberley Audi on Monday and see if they have any input on their bolts I guess.

Thanks :)

In theory the amount of "bite" should be at least equal to the diameter of the bolt. So for those M14 they should be screwing into about 14mm of threaded hole. Not sure what the hub thread depth is. I'm about to whip mine off in a sec, so I will bare all. Putting plan B into operation... :boots:

That looks awesome mr large one! Great choice in wheels!
Have you got the hub centric spacers on there? I got a set fort allroad when I put new wheels on it, spaced it out 25mm, looked awesome! They came from revolution too, prob was that eibach had the wrong bolts with them and it jammed the hubs, revolution soon sorted it though!
I used to own a 6, now I'm just a lurker!

No spacers guys, just deep hub areas on the wheels. Glad to see that I m not going mad in my thoughts about the depth that is biting.

Mr Footlong

The wheels look awesome fitted!!

Normally on an M14x1.5mm bolt you should get about 9 full turns.
I have emailed you regarding the bolts.

Thanks

I did this while swapping out the pads last night. On my standard setup it's 6 complete turns from off to pinched up.
