Rear Fog Surround

Post by seanypeeps » Thu Feb 16, 2012 10:09 pm

The old rear fog delete is on the cards but want to get a new fog panel as mine has a small chip so will get a new one to get sprayed up before removing old. Problem is which one is for my car? Looked on VAGCAT but there are so many variants i know it's number 10 but could someone point out the right one from the following page, unless you know it off hand of course. I have an 04 saloon and the current surround is like a piano black.

This one 4B5945695E
or this one? 4B5945695E 01C

Cheers Boys

The part number is correct.

01C is the colour code = satin black

I wonder if the USA version has fog lights...

The US version has fogs.

Sean - ensure you fill the fog light 'holes' with a filler of sorts, foam, wall filler or maybe stuff in some bubble wrap. If you don't and it's cold and rainy, you end up with 'dry' patches where your fog lights are. It drives me insane but it's a PITA to take off the plate surround so I've not filled them in yet. Soon, one day.

How it should look:

Example of 'dry' patches (look closely at the surround):

Get ETKA off ebay. Much more complete and easy to navigate.

Standard GPS fin AFAIK.

Seany - think about deleting the boot lock and hole, nothing feels better than having your hole deleted.

Oh bam you make me laugh :jump: yes I was considering that but I'm still on the fence, the ones I have seen with the lock hole still showing I think I prefer but who knows? Will have to get some black wrap and see for myself before taking the plunge.
