AWE exhaust

Post by DMAUDI » Mon Feb 13, 2012 11:07 pm

First post,

Hello,

After what seemed like a lot of research on the various options, although only found RS246 afterwards,

I've just ordered the AWE full system for my S4,

Has anyone got one fitted?

Personally no, although there have been posts about them on here before. My view is that the original exhaust is probably very efficient, albeit subdued in terms of noise, as the likes of MTM get 430bhp from their Cantronics box regardless of whether there's an aftermarket exhaust fitted or not. And whilst tests show that a Milltek for example adds 15bhp or so to a std car, add a Cantronics box and it still makes the same 430bhp that it would on a std pipe. This suggests that the electronics are really very smart these days and in the Cantronics car, the limit is still artificially enforced, despite adding the neck end of +100bhp...

Will be very interested to hear how you get on with yours - do report back please!
