Cold air feed inlet added

Post by sonny » Wed Feb 08, 2012 5:40 pm

Just got round to fitting the CAF inlet trumpet, its the 89mm bore type, with the added inlet gauze (rodent and debris trap) If not yet added this as I think it may cut air flow down

Will add that the CAF was already in place, feeding cold air to the GruppeM, but this has since been sold, so back the oem air box.

Also got round to tidying up the fog light grills with some back to black, looking like new.

Very neat mod there, bet it sounds even better with the cold air, amazing how different a car can sound with a cold air feed.

Just to point out I had the CAF added last year, but never had the inlet trumpet, so just added that today.

There is a little induction note on full throttle but after having the GruppeM on for a year it makes it sound tame.

Nice, does that then fit into the airbox hole where you removed the flap, how did you secure it as if i remember there is a trumpet on the airbox isnt there?

Possibly a stupid question, but how do the fog light grills come out as I would like to clean mine to. Do they simply pull out? Obviously I don't want to break them.
