Complain to Camberly.

The gap will have a negligeable effect on the engine. The very worst case is that you'll be pulling in a little hot air from the the engine bay and losing 0.1 horsepower. No possible damage could occur.

Mine was like that to when I bought it some dealer up north were last to touch/over tighten it. I heat gunned it back to shape but paint has cracked must get around to buying a new one or repainting the pair.

I think there's a thread on rs6.com about the Dahlback inlet set up.

This had also happened on mine when I brought it - to me it looked like whomever had tried to fit the hose back on had used a screwdriver to try and lever it over the plastic.
Heated it up with a heatgun and put a conveniently sized paint tin inside while it cooled down. Has a slight mark but no issues - will prob buy a new one at some point!

I understand the hi flow part but why would you want hi flow hot air? I still think bonnet vents above the oem filter housing could be done 'safely'

Anything like that should also include aero catches... and they hardly look OEM. Otherwise you'll be wearing a bonnet on your windscreen at 140+MPH, not a good 'look'.
No matter where you go, there you are.

I mean bonnet vents like on an Aston.

I've thought about a custom made one from mine and much better designed than that, and with black hoses, who on earth would put blue is beyond me
