Just a quick update, my car is now booked with Audi Tonbridge on Wednesday, John Doyle their service director has comfirmed that Audi UK have agreed to cover the full cost parts and labour for both the front DRC units and valves.

Stephanie in customer services at Audi UK was the lady that sorted it all out so :kissmyrings:

Yeah, would have been appreciated last year when Audi UK stated i had to pay for one shock and accumulator (£1500), even though a few months previously i had 2 done under goodwill :(

Goof result for OP though!

No, I have asked Audi to sort it out under there 5 year GOODWILL offer.

Tonbridge Audi said no, Audi UK said no too, see prevoius post.

BUT HAVE JUST HAD A VERY STRANGE CALL FROM AUDI UK WHO SAID THERE ARE LOOKING AT MY CLAIM AGAIN AFTER THEIR FORUM MONITORS HAVE LOOKED AT THE RS FORUMS.

now make of that what you will,

HELLO AUDI, i love you all :kissmyrings: , please cover my DRC and you can have my first born. :bigblink:

they do monitor them
in fact sometimes some a-hole will forward them a link

Just had my 06 saloon in with Audi today and found out that both rears are shot to bits. Got Ss+ on mine and the rear were well under the arches.

So much so that the rubbing going over bumps has worn away the inner arches. Does ss+ make a diff.

Had fronts done in 09. Cars out of Audi warranty but still within customer care plan with dealer. They said its covered but won't be cheap.

Great news for you and good on Audi!

Can anyone tell me what ss+ is.?? Got told its sports suspension, but not sure what it does
Thanks

Craig

Ss+ is slightly lower, slightly firmer factory fit Audi suspension.

Ah right thanks, no diff in drc then I presume. Now that the shocks need replacing, how can I tell if they replace like for like and not just normal suspension

Iirc they just replace the shock not the springs. Plenty people have replaced the springs whilst keeping the same DRC so should be fine.

Hi All and Audi :biggrin3:

Just say thanks to all those involved in my DRC issues

To members of the forum for there advise private and posted on here. :nodder:

To Steph at Audi UK for agreeing to pay for the DRC replacment including the labour, that was a big surpise as I exspected to have to pay for the labour at least :kissmyrings:

Sam Lee at Audi Tonbridge for sorting out my booking and getting my key fob to work as a single press to unlock all doors, so much better. :jump_clap:

Has anyone local to me got Vagcom so i can get my A3 to do the same. I am Tonbridge Kent. as not paying £60 for it.

Let hope the new shocks last and rears dont give up too soon.

Audi Tonbridge are aware about my posts on here, they have already had one customer in quoting this thread. POWER TO THE FORUM

Thanks again

Steve

Touch wood whilst I write this Steve, I had my front replaced at 30k miles and 60k miles later the original rears and the system pressure is still spot on.
