haha, agree with you there, i'm glad i'm not the only one then, i swear i can feel more bumps in the road and less roll with it pressed though, it must be my age lol... :-/TimDogg wrote:No mate, but we've all made that mistake. Three things happen with the 'S' button - Throttle remap (first 3rd travel now gives you two thirds of traditional throttle movement - this is a pain, even Clarkson thought so and useless except on track), Bucket seats close around DRIVER ONLY (if activated in the DIS and to the amount you last set on the seat yourself - two switches on the right hand lower side of seat) and valves open in exhaust (but close above 1500 rpm in first 3 gears but open and stay open in 4, 5 and 6).
It's not the suspension that stiffens with the 'S' button pressed - it's you mate!
Not sure what I've got!

I've had the throttle mapped even more aggressively as I prefer it. Makes heel n toe even easier - force of habit, do it all the time and with non res miltek sounds fab

Since the suspension is 100% mechanical with no electrical connection whatsoever, that's all in your head.AdrianD wrote:OK, possibly going to make myself look very very stupid now but i swear the suspension also firms up when the sports button is pressed!

Re: Not sure what I've got!
Right! Had a good look and it seems I was completely wrong. Definitely valved; definitely resonated (thanks Pie!). The valves are stuck open, which is why I am getting no sound difference. Not sure if they have been put that way deliberately or whether they are seized. I don't really mind either way, as I love the sound and can live with it - but I guess I ought to find out, in case there is a cost issue if it ever needs to be rectified for onward sale. Is there any easy way to tell?
Don't think Clarkson would have a problem with my throttle, which suggests that might be wrong too - I really do struggle to tell the difference between the two modes. Is there any easy way to check this? Is it possible this could be connected with the valves being stuck open?
I have now managed to take a couple of pics. Sorry for the dodgy processing: just used some photoshop filters, as pushed for time to do it properly and the kids have gone a bit wild.
