Gearbox Oil change

yeah - I think the final bill was reduced but still the best part of 7k.
I mean, the initial quote included replacement of the 2 ECUs that control the pyro charges - WTF?

Yep, aware of that safety feature too. Hope I never have an accident though.

No not owned. Spent a lot of time with them and nearly got one but once you get past the savage acceleration I found it not what I was looking for. When junior number 3 arrived made it a moot point. I have fun cars that don't need to take the family so for normal day to day wasn't gonna fly.

I'm thinking of having the gear box oil changed to a thinner / slicker one as when very cold / city driving from cold where the gearbox oil doesn't have time to heat up, changing to 2nd from 1st isn't easy and it sometimes doesn't engage properly making it pop out on occasion immediately after the change. Its completely fine when warmed up however.

I've read on some other sites that people have used an Oil called Redline MTL Or Redline MT90 so I am wondering if anyone can recommend these or something that might help make for easier shifting?

Update on my issue of difficult 1st to 2nd gear when cold.

Audi changed the gearbox oil (052 911 A2) for me, cost 190 quid and its now completely fine. Very easy shifting even when cold. Just goes to show that a simple oil change makes all the difference. Thanks for the posts and advice on this.
