Hmmm - I really do wonder if that is going to be street legal (noise) or how it's going to get past the MOT next year. According to the AA site "A catalytic convertor fitted as original equipment but missing will be a reason for failure" from Jan 2012.

I reckon folks with gutted pre-cats etc are unlikely to get pulled up (no-one is going to pull the downpipes off to check), but any inspector HAS to notice that the cats aren't there on this one!

PS - Interesting that when I was at MRC yesterday Sonny's RS4 was on the dyno and was VERY LOUD - and this was after switching to a Res system as previously he had found it too noisy!

Plenty of friendly MOT testers in Landan, or pop the cats back in for MOT time?

Yeah I wonder too Dave but I'll not have an answer to the MOT conundrum for another 12 months. As for the noise, well, I'll see how I get on with it, no doubt it'll be very interesting as I live in central London! Besides, I'd much rather to regret doing it, than I would not doing it... knowwotimean?

Is that Milltek de cat pipes and non res centre section with custom rear pipes where the rear boxes should be?

Gutted I missed the chance to meet BamBam this evening as I couldn't get out of work when he was picking it up, I would have got a soundclip or two. I've heard an RS6 with this setup before and it had a rev off with a milltek res RS6, that sounded good, then the fully decatted and no silencer guy did it and I felt it vibrate my chest, it was INSANE. BamBam should be on his way back now, I'm looking forward to hearing all about it.
