Different type of meet - Karting

Post by Boggle73 » Mon Dec 05, 2011 3:27 pm

Hi all,

Dont know who would be interested, but we went here 2 weeks ago with friends and such like.

Its a brilliant track and a very good venue. Massive car park and central for most people. Its between Grantham and Newark.

We did 2 man teams over 60 laps, must do 3 pit stops to change drivers. 20 lap qualifying.

It worked out at £70.00 per person including vat, i know its a bit minty but its worth it.

I could organise something for Feb/March next year, just need to know what your thoughts are.

Jay.

Is that the PFI track? If so, its one's of the best in the country and hosts international meets. Built and owned by Paul Fletcher who is a millionaire karting enthusiast.
I've been there a couple of times and its the real deal. Last time was in pouring rain - it was hilarious!

Hi Steve,

Yes, its PFI circuit.

As you will know its a big place, seems like a good place for quite a few of us to get together.

It was slightly damp when we were there, we got between 52 - 56 mph on the straight but it made the 180 at the end very skill-full.

Just putting feelers out at moment, i think it maybe quite popular.

Nice one Bam-Bam.

You mean 'opposite lock corner' as the locals call it!

The guy who details my car (Jim @ White Details) works about 1 mile from there - I'm sure he could do you a deal on cleaning your cars while you race!

Ok, called them up and got a good price for the event if it happens.

£ 70.00 per person including vat. Trophies and lap timings / positions etc included also.

Would have 1.5 hours of track action.

Maximum 20 Karts or 40 people.

Think march would be better myself, it was Baltic last time we went.

I will wait for some more replies and then put a list up.

Cheers,

Jay.
