A new set of C6 disc & pads cheaper than the C5, true?

Right, I am going to be dim here....

What is on offer is the full C6 set up (including calipers). They require 20" wheels do they not? And the usual cost is £2500ish?

Grizz offers a half way house "Big Brake Kit" which is the one Mooch had. That is the C6 disks but not calipers (you use your C5 calipers). There have been posts on that kit before (the posts re the bigger disk offering better stopping not due to caliper size etc etc). This kit can be fitted on 19" wheels. And the usual cost is around the £1000 mark?

The C6 kit plus some of those lovely rotors we saw the other day seem the way forward but having just bought new tyres and C5 pads etc...I am thinking I should wait but then again...no the wife would kill me...

I have just fitted C6 discs and C6 calipers supplied by Grizz  to my C5 RS6 with 19" euro standard wheels plus fitted phaeton scoops- no problems with clearance.

Your C5 pads will be more expensive and the sweep on the C6 disc not as good.

Obligatory C6 brake photo whore opportunity (mine are 19s too)...

Oh, thanks Bam! Nice to see it in the flesh as it were. So, completely wrong about the C6s requiring 20 inchers. Was I right about pricing?

The C6 ceramics require 20s. I don't remember the price, I'd have to dig it out. Just PM Grizz and he'll let you know.

The C6 setup under the OEM 19s.

The disks and pads are WAY cheaper than the C5 versions. Go figure.

The disks aren't directional though like they are on the C5. Don't think it really makes any difference except on one side you'll have the drillings going the "wrong" way.

That won't stop me. It's next on my to do list.
