Smaller antennas
Where to get those smaller antennas as shown below...? Are they just replaceable by taking the old one out and new one in, or is it more complicated?

I just used a saloon one. Now it's just there to fill the hole as it is disconnected due to GPS frustration and replacement with an on dash puck.

Radio is through rear side windows. The small antenna on the roof is for gps

My GPS antenna needs replacing - and I've been hoping the smaller one would be possible, but I thought the rear windows only did one wavelength, hence I would need to keep the "bee-sting"...

Good find if that fits well. I have a Calearo DAB aerial being fitted in to the roof directly in front of the current aerial, same angle and looks identical. I was a little weary visually about running 2 big aerials up there so that might be an option for me as I have no intention of using the TV or FM really after the DAB is installed.....mavada wrote:i think this one will fit, but its expensive for a piece of rubber...

Took my ''bee-sting'' off cause it lokked <beep>. Radio signal = still great. If you look at the antenna body it says GPS on it

Granted - but when I changed the antenna on my older B5 car (which looked like the same unit) it has three separate connections from memory - I thought they would be GPS, AM, and FM respectively...
So - I'll order the saloon style antenna tomorrow if I don't require the bee-sting!
Anyone else know if this logic is sound?

You don't need the bee-sting for your radio signal mate. What headunit are you running? If rns-e/d and don't have another gps antenna then you will struggle with the sat nav

Agree with the GPS connector being a PITA, hence why I went for a puck on the dash. 8 satellites

I have a puck type with my kenwood and it gets full signal. Just get a dummy antenna for the roof. I actually like the look of my oem with the ''bee-sting'' removed
