I have had two sets nicked. Replaced first set with aluminium then second with colour coded to body.
You need a strange torx type socket which Audi use. It is one bolt fitting and an electrical connector block after prising off the plastic triangle inside the door.

I could quite fancy the whole de-badged, colour coded mirror look at the present...

There have been rare reports of the the occassional roo sitting in the front passenger seat trying to get acqainted after coming through the windscreen and it does get quite nasty with those feet and big claws thrashing around, but usually they just bounce off the car or slide down the side of it like Mr Skippy did on mine. All 4wd's wagons in oz have front mounted "roo bars" that do the job by flicking the roo to the side after impact.

Got these sorted a couple of weeks ago.

The folks at John Bowles Sevenoaks fitted some body-coloured A6 mirrors in place of the Aluminium ones... They weren't sure about the A6 mirrors fitting at first so were ordering a single mirror to check. I took it down there expecting this and found they had found out they would definitely fit, ordered a pair, got them sprayed Mugello Blue ready to be fitted. All this and no money taken, all they had was my phone number and first name! I was there for an hour all done. Good service.

I was pleasantly surprised when the car rolled around the corner with the new mirrors, not as flashy as the aluminium ones, but they don't detract from the look imo, and it's a bit more 'stealthy' now, apart from the massive wheel arches / wheels / exhausts that is! (and the noise of course)

p.s Car has been washed / polished since I took these! I'd be interested to hear your opinions on how they look.

Cheers

Not for me, when you see a oncoming RS6 you instantly know its a 6 because of the ally mirrors thats what people look for in the rear view mirror, but hey thats just my opinion.

Tempted, very stealthy, reminds me of the black debaged RS6 a colleague had when he joined the company.

Have tracked down a pair of complete mirror units from an A4 (in what look like Moro) for £50 each delivered. Debating making an offer on the pair and having them painted Dolphin along with a front bumper respray. Even if I don't actually fit them, I have spares available to fit immediately if the worst happens for the same price as a tank of fuel.
