Not quite the same with NZ as everyone from NZ is moving to Australia...still, I guess it raises the IQ of both countries....

We get South Africans emigrating to NZ constantly..... The last one I worked with in NZ used to tell us how he shot someone in the back who was stealing his ute....while you should never mess with another mans ute he could at least have had the decency to shoot him face on.

Tim stay here you know you love us, we teach you Brits how to not take life too seriously. The bonus of staying here is that you will also be able to continue to afford the pleasures of European performance motors, in Oz and NZ you have sell both Kidneys to own one otherwise you end up in an Aussie muscle car that has about as much class as Jordan. Sure you may want to go for a ride out of curiosity but in the end you will just end up disappointed you were seen anywhere near one. :bash:
Shut up you dirty filthy Kiwi, I'm always right. How about we all get into a Kiwi muscle car and go for a dri.. Oh, wait, you guys don't have a car. There, now Australia's dominance is reasserted over Nue Zeeloond, I can go back to self-depreciation.
So RSkiwi, you guys used to have a Prime Minister, she was a lovely bloke, Helen I believe his name was. Anyways, is it true that when he/she was asked during an open press conference, if he was worried by just how many Kiwis were leaving to live in Australia. It replied "Nah, not at orll ay. Eviry tiiime a Kiwi leaves here to go live in 'stralia, the IQ of both countries goes up".
No matter where you go, there you are.

I read about that 'Kiwi' supercar, still not built, still not for sale.
McLaren, really? In that position I'd have wheeled out the Web Ellis but you comeback with McLaren's logo resembling a rubbish flightless bird!?!? You must've single-handedly raised the nations IQ into MENSA status when you boarded the jimbo jit (aeroplane).

Again, a better comeback would've been:
Rubbish flightless bird??

Emu.

Besides, what's wrong with a Kangaroo? It would kick the <beep> out of almost anything.
Ok, we've not got an F1 team but I'll raise you an ok-ish F1 driver...

^ Meh.

This.
Jetboat sprint trials...

You guys (Sir Hamilton) invented the Jetboat, then, when you got bored, you started building these...
Image

Then you took one of these...
Image

...and shoehorned one of these into it...
Image

...and made it do this...
Image

...and this...
Image

Then you turned it all into a rally on water, so we could all watch boats crash... like this...
Image

"The boats are really getting extreme now. In the "Open/Super Boat Class" boats are running fuel injected engines (406-475 cubic inches average) producing 700-975 horsepower. Some of the most extreme boats are running a 500 cubic inch all aluminum small block, weighing in at 300 pounds with fuel injection bolted on and oil in the engine. These boats are claiming 1000 horse power at 6500 RPM. They are capable of acceleration from 0-80 MPH in 3 seconds. When you watch the videos of the races you can see that some of the boats are making corners near 180 degrees on some tracks depending on how the course is laid out that day. They are making the corners in an area similar to the length of the boats, this being an average of 13 feet 6 inches. To accomplish this at speeds of 70-90 MPH through the corners in the Super Boat class the driver/navigator are subjected to 6-7 g's. In a 90 degree corner they average 3-4 g's. ... imagine your favorite dragster making a 4-5 second run ... sounds neat ... now imagine that same engine in a 40-60 second run."

Now. THAT. Is a real man's sport.
Jay-sus Kiwi - why am I better at selling your country than you are?

I used to go to the Jet Sprints and it is as insane as it sounds, you end up grinning like a kid at Christmas just watching them. I am hoping to get a jet boat (not a jet sprint boat mind) when I go back next year as Ill be living in the South Island where some amazing rivers are.

Is your girlfriend/wife Kiwi bam_bam?

Christ...better not go down that route...will be NZ girls have big arse comments all round....sad but so many do

Buggered if I know why you are better at it, possibly because (seriously IMO) is that we dont like to promote ourselves all that much and are poorer for it.

Hang on WTF? That was almost the start of a serious discussion, speaking of Serious...

I have two business partners of 9 years, one nutter Kiwi and one very calm, well mannered South African business partner. The South African has seen people shot for much less than touching a ute.

My 'ho is Unglish.

Cars can't cost more in Oostralia than Brazil.

Ferrari 458: £565k
California: £ 445k
R8 V8: £ 212k
RS5: £ 160k
M3 v8: £ 132k
Gallardo superleggera: £ 530k
2004 911 Turbos: around £ 170k

You get the picture..

Edit: no mandatory civil responsibility insurance, so if a 1979 Opel Polara crashes into you, good luck collecting... That's why insurance for any of those would be around 10-15k/year...

See? Not so bad living wherever else...
Black 4.2 RS4 Avant, Titan wheels.
Going for K&N, flat bottom steering, LED rear lights, Dectane headlights, Milltek or Tubi exhaust.
May Sachs Performance rot in hell.

Hmm, Nah. It wears out, the potholes, shitty roads, traffic, traffic lights at gunpoint, armored daily driver, £££ condominium bill for security to live anywhere decent, manhattan/london/milan-like rents and living prices, valet parking that abuse your car before parking your car in the street with no insurance or borrows your car and either crashes or gets tickets, all the time.. If you like living within a bubble world, it's great, but to get to know places, people and be at peace? North Korea might be a better bet.

It's a good place to live, if you're spending £10k a month in expenses, so you can spend the same there. Then life would be all goodies, but then again, where wouldn't it?

As much as I love to slag off GB (half English and half Grenadian and lucky enough to be fairly well-travelled) I have to say that despite the total ability of people to drive on major roads/motorways without spooning it left, right & centre so a fair bit of traffic, the general population severely lacking in manners such as giving seats up for elderly people, helping people in distress etc etc, you know, all the basics any half decent parents teach their children, the bloody chavs that I hate with a passion and want to napalm and the way that a lot of people litter in my opinion, it isn't that bad a place at all and yes, we are pretty well organized!

The weather is pretty god damn unimpressive at best though and if I was in a position to do so, I would be living back home in Grenada in a heartbeat or failing that, the Gold Coast in Aus as it is a nice blend between the 2 for me. One major thing against Aus for me though is that you are surrounded by a sea where everything wants to kill you.......

Any big city is the centre of gravity for scum and ppl up to no good, now matter what country your in. Its when you have experience other countries you realise what you miss.

Iv been to the states many times, loved it, but I could not spend more than 6 months there. Iv spent a lot of time in Dubai hated it, cant spend more than a few days there.

The only thing that pisses me off is that prices never come down, public national infrastructural topics is the bug bear, expensive fuel, travel and council tax. Feel sorry for you guys who live in Inner London who spend thousands on parking there car.

Sonny you are spot on about parking costs.

Parking Permit = £120 a year
Repairing damage caused by feckers who cant park = £1200 :bash:
