That's the bit that get's me though, Tesco, NCP et al are all fully aware that the marking guides they use of 15-20 years out of date and its not like Tesco are space restricted because most of their stores are built on disused brownfield or development land. They should make spaces bigger as cars are just going to continue to get bigger. They have the space to do it!

not when you consider that not every one takes 2 parking spaces so 90% of people will park in a single space....so those 90% of people are the ones having accidents.....just a theory its not million miles wide at all...so 9/10 seems quite reasonable to me

However, damaging someone's car and driving off without reporting it or leaving a note / contact details is also bad sportsmanship.

I regretted posting this up as soon as people started to pick holes in what I was saying. It's sitting here with my request for it to be deleted yet nobody has done anything about it.

Originally it was posted up to highlight how <beep> people can be and a warning to others about parking in car parks - we have all heard the stories but we rarely get to see the photos.

I'll not be using the forum after this - far too many negative argumentative posts just for entertainments sake and very few knowledgable or posts of substance. There are a select few, but even they seem to have arseholes trying to argue the toss about rolling roads and other 16 year old horseshit.

Put it this way, if someone posts about about superchargers, I want to read some supercharger experiences and perhaps learn some info. I couldnt give a <beep> about picking holes in power figures and transmission losses, save that for the transmission losses thread or the pub.

Not a good online community here im afraid gents, something you should think about and the mods need to actually do some moderation.

Oh for gods sake please dont sulk about it! You mentioned an experience which you also included the fact you parked over two spaces! You must have expected people to comment, quite rightly IMO, about that as well as the fact you unfortunatley had your car pinged?? You will get flack when you do things like that! You must be a little naive if you thought otherwise and the record you give and as good as you got by the way ! Forums are meant for people to offer experiences and comments. Mods are there to manage the content and that it stays in line with the rules of the forum. I cant see any breech here but perhaps someone getting a bit pear shaped because thev'e had thier wings clipped. Excuse the pun. Sorry but stay clear of forums if you cant handle the input.

I've actually acquired a door dent.

I parked up in a space, middle of the lines with gap either side, then some guy parked next to me and the kid in the back decided to slam the door open leaving a nice dent in the door. Funny enough the picture gives the perspective the cars were further apart, in theory although I've had a Big Mac for lunch it could be the sheer size of my frame that failed to enable me to fit between the cars.



He paid for the dent to be removed, no paint was damaged. This was around 6-10 weeks ago.

I was awaiting the delivery of my Miltek so didn't bother cleaning them for a few weeks so that when it came off I could get it a good ol' clean. Now it's taken pride on my garage wall looking shiny.

Till this Sunday, the Miltek is coming back off and the OEM back on.
