As an aside, am mega-f'ed off today. Someone (have now discovered who) put some hairline scratches on my RS when parking next to me at work....needless to say, they will be paying for a respray if it is needed (however am hoping that Kelly at KDS will be able to polish them off)... but Jeezus wept, I don't spend 3 hours plus cleaning the bloody thing to show off minor nicks! Arrrgh.
You down in the south east fickle? Drove over to lepsons the other day (in the 6) with a mate of mine who was picking up his avant after having the wheels refurbed. Saw kds and heard good things, take it you reccomend? Would have been quality to see 3 c5 rs's sitting outside (although I have mow decided my wheels need doing...)

Ps beige fiesta 1.1l mark 2 was my pride and joy at 17!

Guys I started the car up today after 7 days of it not being started and it idled at 1,100 RPM for a few mins, so after a few minutes I put it into D and it dropped to normal then put it back into P and rpm went to 1,000 for 30 secs or so before settling down to normal. Ran a Vag Com scan and no faults. I thought I could hear a clicking sound at the front of the engine at the time when I got outside and listened from the front of the car. Maybe I was just being paranoid? I moved it to wash and Hoover it and I can't hear any clicking now. Any ideas?

Maybe I already am, it gets worse as I now don't think I'll even be able to drive it on my birthday as I need to be X years and 25 days according to the quote system online. Maybe they will do it over the phone.

Sounds normal to me. The random ticking is just the N80 / carbon canister doing its thing.

Nice pics Amar, nice reminder I really need to get my KW coilies adjusted - if I had driven on those cobblestones I would have probably dislodged a lung!

Hi marv8...I am in London and use KDS for detailing and QST for the servicing etc.

I would highly recommend both...KDS did wonders for my paintwork a couple of years back with a silver paint correction package (around the £550 mark from memory)...it took years off the car. I now seem to take it in every six months for a bit of TLC. Kelly has worked with a fair number of RS4s and 6s in his time (check out his website but also look at what he did to the Veryon!)

I have also used Lepsons a couple of times and they are very good but not cheap. BTW, I used Lepson's tyre outfit which is on the same estate while I was there in Feb and got some PS2s (all 4 corners for under £1000 which I didn't think was too bad compared to some of the London quotes). Anyone in London or SE, it is well worth the trip out to Gillingham as you have everything under one roof as it were!
