Oh and if u see a Porsche 996 RUF Turbo R (520hp, only 10 made) on the way down, it's one of the surprise cars to attend.

Well well, that will be my second in a week! Is it red and owned by an Englishman? Thats one spicy meatball :) Anyone wanting to go faster had better arrive in an Enzo.

Oh and Bentley once made a Turbo R, Sorry to be pedantic but Ruf make the R - Turbo :shock:Image[/code]

Ooops... wouldn't like to hear the Audi called S4R either

Not sure about the color yet.

We'll have a major group leaving the AudiPassion boutique from Versailles (30km west of Paris) on Saturday 2pm GMT+1. If u're getting closed to Paris at that time, gimme a ring and we can catch up at the Saint-Arnoult Toll station (the massive one 40km right south of Paris, on the way to Le Mans).
The Imola Babe will be Safety Car equipped on the way done, if u see one getting full speed through the toll with strobs, flashers and sirens on, it's me :D
I thought our route was going to be through Rouen?
Taipan wrote: Last one, please beware of the speed traps. Things have REALLY changed since your last trip to Le Mans. U can get impounded on the spot now and the tolerance is below 5km/h above limit. Do NOT give your driving license, just say you forgot it in UK (it's a less penalty, at least for French ppl, as they can't confiscate it on the spot).
Didn't think the French police had any power to confiscate a UK license  - is this part of the reciprocal arrangement with the UK?

Better be on the lookout - 5 Kms before the toll booths is a strict 130Kms and then there is the other protection measures :ban:

Eric is the "surprise driver" you mentioned a while ago ALSO driving the R - Turbo, or was the R - Turbo the surprise?

Hi Tim
No the original "surprise driver" was a mate of mine who collected his new "04" Murcialargo thingy whatsit on March 1st Then after saying "I wouldn't miss it for the world" came up with a lame excuse not to go after Eric and I rushed about to organise bookings for him.
If you want to go - go if you don't shut up springs to mind :bash:

Usually, but not this time, sorry (passengers mean I cannot take track wheels :( ) Might cause me to drive a little slower, might not.

p.s. My wife says if I mention this trip again before I leave she will hit me with something

I am so looking forward to it.

I'm bringing a torque wrench Ken - its caliberated in Nm and lb/ft - if its for the wheels I have the right socket, If its for something else then you'll have to bring the appropriate socket - its 1/2" drive
