More Revolution RS4 updates to Avant......

Post by Revolution » Wed Jul 06, 2011 5:04 pm

Sorry I've not been uploading much lately - busy time of the year and all that jazz!!

Anyway, lots of new stuff on our RS4 including:

New plugs, coil packs and filter
New front lip, steering wheel painted more grip less plastic, painted mirrors titan grey
Drivers seat bolster repaired and retrimmed - done by Furntiture Clinic in Burnhopefield...amazing job and took them 3 days to turn around but worth the wait - recommended by P_G and glad i chose them as very enthusiastic

Just lowered it recently H&R springs and now sitting better....maybe spacers to look at but just need to get those hi-flow cats fitted and we will remap it to perfection...ready for the 'Ring trip in September :FIREdevil:

Please have a look and give me your thoughts as I do value your opinions good or bad...gulp....

She is looking really well!

Where did you get the the black rings from, EBAY? The dark rs4 badge on the rear painted or purchased?

I was looking at the front rings on mine and seems like a pain to get them off!

Uve installed H&R springs. Is this with still retaining the drc?? If so, how did that go? Did u do it Yourselves at revolution? Quite interested in this.
Also, are u very happy with the end result of the bolster retrim? Not that i need it doing yet but good to know it can be done successfully with a very good match. How much btw?
Cheers Glen.

Sadly we had to give the car to Audi dealers to do......£345+vat for 2 springs to be fitted.... :(

We aligned it but also decided not to lower the rear as its sits just fine now - handles very nice too....the drc shocks were all tested and fronts were a bit too high in pressure - but all set at the same level now and it understeers a little less now when pushing on.

Seat was getting a little tired after 60k, rest of the trim was fine but guess the driver was a large person as the bolster was shot. Really good job and always a bit of a worry when you hand youre car over to a trimmer as theres no going back if it comes back pants - happened to me a long time ago and it peed me off a lot.
Cost approx £350 + vat but worth every penny as he redid all the foam underneath and even matched up the stitching and the age of the leather perfectly!!

Was under the impression that you had to get behind the grill to remove the front rings? Did yoy just pry them off?

That'll be the same make as the recall CP's then? OEM's were by one manufacturer, the new ones on the TSB are by a new manufacturer.
