Traction Off Road or in Snow

Post by jacketpotato » Wed Jun 22, 2011 8:45 am

Hi All,

Newbie to the forum as I am just thinking about trading-in my Range Rover for an Audi Avant Plus RS6 - bored with the Rangie and it is in the garage more than my driveway!

Anyway, just a thought over the RS6 offroad.... dont get me wrong, I know it wont perform like a Range Rover, but I do cross a few fields to get to a fishing lake and I was wondering what the traction is like under those conditions.

Many thanks,

JP

PS - Is Suzuka Grey a decent colour and good for resale?

Hi JP,
Well a least you are not expecting Range Rover off road ability but the RS6 will cope with the odd field or two!!....You can also consider a spare set of the 19" wheels that I have seen on some RS6s in various ski resorts in europe.
As for Suzuka Grey...great colour and just more interesting than plain white and pretty rare so should be good for resale and its a plus!!!
Regards

Hi CP,

Many thanks for your reply. Good to hear that I can still go fishing :jump_clap:

I dont know the Plus number just yet, I have a deposit on the vehicle and am due to view / sort a deal tomorrow. Its got a black / silver leather /stiching and only 1600 miles... looks immaculate. Its hard to tell the Suzuka colour from photos, I presume its metallic and it looked great against the titanium alloys. The only thing I think is missing is the power close doors and keyless ignition... oh and a sunroof. Is there a PDF brochure for the RS6 anywhere on the site?

Hope its as good in the flesh!

Cheers,

JP

Hi JP,
Sorry no pdf brochure on the site I don't think... but no brochure was produced for the RS6 Plus.
Good luck with the purchase and just be prepared for it to cast its spell over you!!!

I disagree about the brochure. I have the sioft copy from Audi when I purchased mine and acquired a hard back similar to my C5 brochure on e-bay. Great books sitting on my display case in my office with shiny models of C5 and C6 on top. I am sure it will be great fun in a field

Suzuka is supposed to replicate the colour of smoke I'm told (depends what you burn I imagine) I love it, has a bluey tinge in the right light
