LOL - would start to manage the neighbours you care about to the impending arrival of the Milly - something along the lines of 'my exhaust is broken so will be getting a new one which might be a touch throatier :sekret: ' etc. On warm-up cycle Millys can be loud, mine is much worse because of the 100cel cats.

As an example, about 6 months ago I was staying in a hotel in Mayo which had a confined undergroud car park where I had left my car for a few days. The weather was quite cold and damp and when I fired up the car I set off the alarm of all cars in a 20ft radius of mine, quickly followed by most of the ones I had to drive past to get to the exit  .

Shes always parked underground  the Mrs. is now giving me stick. Everytime the phone rings, shes like is that your exhaust....

Got a chance to really give it some beans last night after training. The worbble from the filter is quite nice when you put the foot down and it rises in revs and really sucks air into the engine. I would say its a little more responsive also!

Actually, you NCT her with that full set up?

Passed the NCT with flying colours much to my surprise - I could hear them revving it from the coffee Shop down the road from Deansgrance NCT centre...and I was inside the coffee Shop  .

No issues with noise or emmisions with that set up  NICE! You have the pre-cats gutted also?

Just posted about my NCT visit to Deansgrange ;)

Emissions are fine on 100cel cats provided they are hot (hence them revving it). With the 100cel set-up there are no pre-cats in the downpipe. I was more concerned with noise and that really depends on whether the tester 'thinks' its too loud.

Yes, it drives me crazy to have to rely on the appreciation of the tester rather than some kind of official measurement..
I mean if the dude loves cars, you're lucky, he 'll pass you and if he is an old grumpy guy, you're doomed...
I had a small bit of gum gone from the side tyre of our X5 Commercial which passed the DOE last year and this year, I was told the tyre needed be changed cos it was 'dangerous' and it may burst...
the lads at Kilkenny TC Tyres said that was really harsh. That's one example out of millions I guess...

Anyway, can't wait to hear that exhaust on Sunday Jack!

Would suggest 11am if that works ? If you two are shy we can meet at the Esso garage on the n11 (past the Cabinteely junction) on the way down towards the Cherrywood flyover - can then go to the Octane meet in a rumbling convoy ?

Not a shyness issue, but 3 RS4 booting down to the meet would be good fun :bigwave:

11 at the esso garage sounds good, I'll be coming from the red cow on the M50 though, is the station easy to find?

@Awd4 - take the exit before Cherrywood and get on the N11 south or take the Cheerywood exit and take N11 north (there is another Esso Northbound across the road from the southbound one - southbound one is what you need)....if your nav is up to date ie - 2010 maps + it has the esso garages plumbed into them as the logos come up on my screen.

Good luck - am sure will be fine but make sure they plug the vacum pipes properly or attach them properly (if going valved). You don't want a vacum problem after all of this.

The OEM exhaust is one piece and therefore very long so plan for how to take it away/store.
