Apart from the last run they are very low peak power rpms, understandable if they were wheel rpm but engine rpm should be 7800-8200rpm so what's going on there then? This is peak power area on both three different Dyno Dynamics Roads and Dastek raods I have used. unless a rolling start the bhp difference you are talking about could be negated by the standing start so it is always subjective to your bum dyno.

My last dyno run showed peak power of 434PS @ 7402 rpm and previous runs showed peak power in the range 7100 to 7800. Would be surprised if peak power is above 8000?

Torque 312.0 @3594rpm (2009) vs. 319.2 @ 3565rpm (2010)



So to correct my last statement from 7500rpm onward?

Not at all, I mentioned it because I didnt have the standard airbox so the flap not operating wasnt an issue here. I actually asked the question of Doug whether I should ditch it in favour of a standard box with a panel filter and he didnt think I should. The ultimate power output will be a sum of all the parts such as the filter, a map, the port and clean etc. Only when this has all been done can we reasonably compare it to other vehicles that have had work done at MRC. Its too early to say the GruppeM is holding it back.P_G wrote:

do you know where about the air leak was?
You had the Gruppe intake before you went to MRC right?
Reason im asking think I might have an air leak as well my peak power at the moment is also pretty low at 6500rpm then kinda just remains the same....
I made 359bhp and 452nm however this was on 95 unleaded and airbox flap is stuck open...

My first run (358PS) was with a stuck airbox flap - result was a loss of about 10PS. 95 ron will also lose you some power I'd have thought.

This is where it gets hazy, the vacuum pipe that led to the air flap solenoid was plugged but apparently there is another connection/or part of this vacuum setup which may have been leaking, MRC plugged this and the leak was fixed. I fitted the GruppeM and I cant figure out where else it could have been leaking from and I forgot to get Doug to show me. Perhaps someone else on here might have a better idea of what was done with removing the airbox and vacuum pipe plugging?Stoffle32 wrote:do you know where about the air leak was?
