It is an upgrade, but with some chat you'd get it for the same price as the Prestige only cover.. something to consider.. £775 I think.
The problem is that drc is just a shock absorber - easy to argue it's wear n tear after 5 years.
Out of interest what does it list?

Drc isnt an upgrade every Rs4 has it! For it to be classed as an upgrade an rs4 would of had to of been purchaseable without it,which it wasnt.I think if you study the small print and ask key questions anything that is likely to go on an rs4 ISNT covered.Rads, oil cooler pipes, clutches, drc etc are the only thing ive seen a few of fail and dont fancy your chances with any of them under warranty, but you pays your money and.........

So straight from the "items not covered page" :

Bodywork, trim, upholstery, glass, pain, sunroof components, panels, wheels
Brake discs & pads
Clutch centre/friction plate, cover plate and release bearing
Contaminated fuel
Lamps, batteries, fuses, connectors, in car audio or sat nav (this can be added as an extra)
Service items, spark plugs, wipers, grease, oils, belts etc etc that kind of thing cant be bother typing the rest - nothing major
Exhaust gaskets, exhaust pipes, cat convertor (can be added as an extra), aux drive belts, brackets, mountings, pipes and hoses, water ingress, cables other than clutch cables
Oil leaks that do not necessitate the removal of the engine, gear box or diff to carry out repairs
Sundries - coolants, filters etc etc unless their replacement is necessary due to a valid claim and not within 1000 miles of its next service.

Labour is covered 100% for valid claims but parts depends on your mileage. Anything under 60k is cover 100% decreases in stages after that.

I think that is quite good really .....

I suppose it all depends how naive or optomistic you want to be,it doesnt say exhausts are excluded but im fairly sure ive read in here of a claim knocked back, audis "all component cover" reads even better but ive had various items fall into grey areas and result in "not covered" WD seems to be the next best option to the audis own but neither buy alot of the piece of mind they are intended to imo and experience

so whats the general opinion on this warranty then,i'm sitting here with their quote of £775 looking at the list of parts that are not covered thinking that unless i have a major failiar it wont pay out on most things,i dont really want to have no warranty,i dont really want to buy a new car,i've only got 7350mls on the clock so most things that i will prob claim for are not included (trims, seats rubber seals ect) i,m capable of looking after the car myself providing its just general servicing things
I'm thinking i should sell up as i don't want to be without warranty but when i do drive it i love it and i know that whatever i buy to replace it with prob won't be as good, any opinions gratefully recieved thanks andy.

7k miles! wow. Im sure Audi UK would look favorably on you for any goodwill claim if it ever came to it. It would be a great shame to chop the car in just because of the risk of something going wrong? Just think how much it would cost you to replace it then think of how much you are likely to pay out each year on work to the RS4.
Like so many say on here it is just an insurance in case of anything major going wrong.

Im out of warranty next month so i have a decision to make on whether to renew. Been two years now with a total pay out of £1900 odd with no claims. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

For info WD doesnt cover the seat bolster inflation issue - comes under 'trim' in their book.

You could pay the warranty on a monthly basis if that makes it easier? Then you would have some piece of mind and if you still wanted to sell the car just cancel the policy.

Wow, they aren't just cheaper they are half the price. For an RS4 Cab its £350 for Wear and Tear and Franchise dealer. Should I be suspicious, anyone have any claims history with them?

For info my WD renewal came in at £862 and includes all the extras and same level of cover.

Have decided not to renew. Gave them a call to cancel and, out of interest, to see how low they would go but they weren't for budging.
