Revo S3 boost chart
Revo S3 boost chart
Following on from Simons Stock S4 boost chart, he also logged my car last night, so I thought I would post this, as a FYI since there are some new S3 owners on this forum
This is my S3 '02 reg, 225 bhp, running a REVO remap
REVO settings are High Boost 6 Timing 4 on Optimax and Millers logged with VAGCOM last night, 4th gear pull from idle to redline
This shows requested boost and actual boost
On AMDs RR in Feb my car gave 260 bhp and 300 lb/ft on the same settings

Re: Revo S3 boost chart
a comparison of two cars running the same settings in November... It would be good for other S3 owners to post theirs for comparisons.

M3 CSL - Silver Grey, a few options.
Re: Revo S3 boost chart
What version of VAGCOM do i need to be able to do this, or will they all do it?
ive got a 2001 S3 if that makes any difference, as i believe ssome dont have the boost sensor??

Re: Revo S3 boost chart
you need to have a registered version of Vag-com to do this as the unregistered version won't allow you to see all measuring blocks.
Vag-com works with all S3's

Re: Revo S3 boost chart
Ive just got VAG-COM (today, its sat at home waiting!!) so am planning on doing this soon, having never used VAG-COM how do you go about logging these values.
I presume its via the measuring blocks part, what numbers correspond to requested and actual boost?? so i can log them.
thanks

Re: Revo S3 boost chart
yep it is the measuring blocks section - best one for boost is on block 115.
best way to do datalogging for boost is to do a 4th gear full throttle pull starting with the revs at about 1500 up to nearly 7000 - needless to say you need a quiet straight bit of road.

Re: Revo S3 boost chart
think ive found it theres four parts to each 'block' so i take it the last two are for boost and requested. as they are the two that are in millibars.
hopefully off to do it in a bit, i know just the road

Re: Revo S3 boost chart
Ive done it
With Revo SPS 2 set to 98RON setting, done a 4th gear run from about 2000 rpm, upto 6500 rpm.
compares pretty well with the other graphs posted.

Interesting to see these boost curves, while its obvious the Revo upgrade gives a big boost increase in the mid range, its interesting to note that by the time peak revs arrive, the boost has fallen off to the same as a standard S3, namely around 1.1bar which is what my own 225ps S3 registers. Is this an indication that the standard fuel injectors wont cope with much more boost at these revs? I thought that chip upgrades would have given a reasonable boost increase across all rev changes. Just curious as I am thinking about getting the latest AMD 1 click option and was interested to see what the boost profile looks like when modified
