Welcome to the fold.

I'm three months into ownership, done the lurking thing as well before picking one up so was expectant of the first serious bill within the first couple of months. hopefully you got a good 'un.

They are awesome cars, and i've loved every minute of it.

Cheers. Can't say I was hugely impressed on the couple of test rides I had but it's really growing on me. The powers very deceptive. It's taken me a bit of time to realize just how quick it is. Note to self- 'must remember when dogs are I the boot'! Had the pair of them plastered to the back window like a couple of stick on garfields today:)

It is very, very deceptive. It's just brings you up to proper speeds with no fuss. Not enough fuss for some, perhaps.

Try it as a passenger. It'll feel twice as quick. I don't know why the gods of speed decided that the driver must be the one to have the least sensations...

Very true. I've had loads of quick cars Inc a proper quick, tuned twin scroll impreza a few years back and it felt quick to me. The rs6 doesn't feel as quick but the speedo implies it's quicker! As does the wife who feels a bit sick in it if not paying attention. The impreza never bothered her.

I agree it feels quicker as a passenger but still I have to say that on the highway steady speeds the RS6 gives me a feeling of going faster than it really is weirdly. I recently drove a new A4 diesel rental now THAT felt like it was going slow at 110mph :|
