andre, the two you have selected are exactly like the BM-Town ones and have bilbs rather than LEDs for the fog, reverse and indicator lights.

I think the Li-Tec ones are OK and may opt for the RA12SLRCL instead and the indicator LED block resembles the OEM B7 cluster rather than being an l-shape.

Has anybody tired these for the DRL's from Dectane!
They state they 21W tested, which has always been the problem with past LED's for the DRL's even with the Canbus!

I think the Dectane ones are a little different. The line of LEDs nearest the fogs seems much less angular with a bit of a curve to them which means there aren't as many LEDs in that bank (6 Dectane vs. 8 BM Town). Also, they have two versions of these on their website, the more expensive of which (€269) are all LED as far as I can work out save for the reverse lights:

.LED Position light
.LED Brake light
.LED Indicator
.LED Fog light
.Rear light
.reflector included
.compatible with board computer
.E Mark
.bulb and wire included
.set includes 4 pieces

Check the DRL coding - there are 2 options - front only, or front & rear.

So why are the front lights on at all?

Still worth checking the coding IMHO.

Hi

I'd like to get some rear lights for my silver saloon. Could someone tell me which ones are as close to what Audi are rolling out at the moment?

Also, where could I get them fitted or are they easy to do yourself?

Cheers

Now I'm not stating that this is the problem.... but certainly with domestic LED lamps (the 240v GU10 type for example): You can sometimes have a glow from the lamp even with the positive feed disconnected.
This is due to live induction into the neutral return.

Not sure if this is ever an issue with automotive 12V electrics and l.e.d.s
Just a thought.

It doesn't look like a glow tim it's as if my sidelights are actually on all day and my drl switch is off

Sounds like an incompatibility between the new lamps and the car then.... send 'em back.

Danny - is it your side-lights or your DRLs that are on all the time as trouble-shooting will depend upon which one is lit up ?
