Got my S4 done last week. Doubt you'll have a problem.

I rang Audi UK, who told me they knew nothing about it, despite me quoting the service ref number....ahem.

So I rang my local dealer who confirmed that it was a service recall item, they checked my chassis number and it's going in next Thurdsay to have all 8 replaced.

Result

I've never had any issues with coilpacks on this car though and have had it for 3 and half years of its 7 year old life. (I did have to replace 4 of them on my S3 though 4 years ago, so I feel somewhat justified to be getting something for free!)

I wonder if this applies to all VAG cars or just Audi? (Might see if I can get my wifes Golf Gti done at the VW dealer)

All 8 replaced yesterady for my S4 :beerchug:

looks like Audi Brighton are getting a lot if business out of this - must be the free coffee and salesman trying to sell you a new A1 :blackrs4:

Just had confirmation that this does indeed apply to my wifes golf gti, so if you have one, or know someone who does, tell them!

Just had mine done by Slough Audi, they replaced 5 in about an hour all in, not a bad service.

Mine were done yesterday. Shame the gearbox can't be done on a recall :s4addict:

All 8 replaced today at Watford Audi, no quibbles other than an annoying 30 minute additional wait for the free "wash" I didn't ask for...

Thinking about it... a small issue I have is an occasional failure to turn over which the CP swap-out did not solve (it did it as soon as I started it up outside the dealer this morning). Plugs are all new so this is likely to be the common starter motor issue, right?

No free wash at Slough Audi, they wanted to charge me £15 for a quick wash! :audibash:
