DRC Problem?? NOT!!
In the run up to xmas i started hearing a strange noise from the NSR wheel so i jacked it up to find the wheel bearing had abit play in it, still under warranty i booked it in to Bradford Audi end of December, were they replaced it under warranty, after this i started to hear a knocking every time i went over speed bumps, i thought more problems maybe the DRC, but it was a odd noise, (thought i best renew the warranty aswell that was up for renewal 31 Dec) but with the weather being abit miserable the first few months of the year could'nt be bothered to get the jack out, but with the weather being abit better this week i thought id take a look before i took it to Audi, AND LOOK WHAT I FOUND!! LOL!!

Re: DRC Problem?? NOT!!
Sweet baby Jesus...has it damaged the spring?
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar
Re: DRC Problem?? NOT!!
Very much doubt it's cause any damage. the worst it could do is jam between two rings and all that will happen then is the remain length of the spring compress slightly more.
Not great though. I dare you to call the dealer and ask if they would like their spanner back and attach the photos

I would love to see the reaction.... or the cost if you had Audi find the issue and 'Reapir' itadsgreen wrote:Very much doubt it's cause any damage. the worst it could do is jam between two rings and all that will happen then is the remain length of the spring compress slightly more.

Well, it seems that english Audi technicians are as well qualified as the french ones...
It might be interesting to inform Audi UK with the photos, just to see what could be the answer...

When I collected the S4 after some minor warranty work, I drove it best part of 100 miles (London and back) before realising there was a screwdriver and four screws sitting on the windscreen scuttle panel hidden under the nearside wiper! Sounds daft but hard to spot under the rear edge of the bonnet. Was a baking hot summers day, hadn't used wipers or washed screen etc, thankfully it stayed put.
