Glasgow Audi...

Post by irvind » Wed Mar 16, 2011 7:18 pm

So, had my free MOT done there today, March 07 Avant, no issues.

Car was last there around xmas time as I was concerned about the well-documented smokey cold start, and was told at that time that this was "normal for an RS4"...
Trying a different tack today, I asked for them to tell me which software version the car was running at the minute.
On collection, they said that after diagnosis, one rich-running fault code had been logged which they'd cleared. When I pressed for more info about the actual software version, I was told that there was "no identifiable software name", "they don't call it xyz, whatever..."
Hmmmmmm.......

I also asked about the coil pack issue and he said my car was fine.
That could well be the case but I'm damn sure I'll be getting this double-checked next time I'm anywhere near Camberley!

Also, the average mpg was 24-ish when I went in, 7 on the way home.

I will not be going back unless I have no choice.

I have a Mar 07 Avant and it needed all coil packs changing. (Build date was Nov 06 IIRC).

Did they stamp the service book for the recall or was it just a verbal thing?

Btw mine's an March 07 avant and I didn't need any of my coil packs changed.

Nothing surprises me more. I had mine in about 4 weeks ago at Glasgow and asked them the same question regarding SW. They checked and told me it had already been updated to a version above what was required, then asked 'how did I manage that'?
Go somewhere else, cos as Scotland top dealer they have a v poor level of customer service and knowledge!!

ive started going to Ayr - again same group but much smaller outfit and seem to get a little better service. shame as Glasgow Audi is right by my work.
Plus they seem incapable of fixing the deflating seats - mondial refused to pay out as they felt they were taking the pi**
