Okay fair enough - poor service and not tip top cars. But if the car is cheap enough (£2k cheap enough in your case) would you say its still worth considering them?bluenosewrx wrote:Steve_C wrote:In that case can someone else comment on Auto Prestigebluenosewrx wrote:Agree with DK about Bradford, especially Auto prestige, do NOT buy a thing from them. i am not going into it again as it just pisses me off,
Mac. I nearly bought from them last year - prices seem cheap?
Ok then, but i will try and keep it short.
Arranged to come down from Scotland to buy a Imola Yellow RS4 priced at 28000 with A p/x My 06 STI. which was mint with loads of extras, was only on their website a week or 2.(someone on here then saod he had heard they had problems but i can assure you the car was mint, even gave them 2 brand new wheels and new set of PF brakes with it) i know my subarus having had them since 2000.
Got there, saw the car, was not told it had a slight small dent on drivers side. looked round car in pissing rain, deal done paid and went home happy.
Put it striaght into a Audi specialist in Glasgow for health check.
Results.
1. Small hole in radiator which only let coolant go under high pressure.
2. Passenger side mirror electrics gone
3. 3x parking sensors
4. Oil cooler pipes on way out and leaking.
Now i have had all these replaced and fixed at cost of over 1800 i think was over a year ago.
I know i should have picked all these up(at least sensors and mirror), however it was pissing down and he did rush me and was never away from my side and i could tell with hindsight he was keeping me from really looking if you know what i mean.
So off to trading standards after the warranty company fobbed me off as it was wear and tear according to them.
Phone calls letters sent recorded delivery, nothing heard at all, Brdford trading standrds know of them.enough said.
I should have known when he screamed up to the garage in a Blue RS4 Avant booting the nuts out of it and then saying they all take turns at taking cars home at night according to whats the fastes etc.
Plenty more about this story but i have kept it short.
Yes i was Niave however when you buy from a so called high performance dealer to expect high performance service, sadly i learned the hard way and car is now excellent. i hope no one else suffers the same fate.

If you do mate, make sure you go over it with a fine tooth comb,
i did not and maybe was my downfall, however i would have not spotted the radiator and oil cooler no matter what.
As said before they are a quick turnaround merchants which i never knew before. if it was round the corner it would be no problem but i was down from scotland and the pics dont seem to be the best quality. it makes me angry to even look at their website, lol

I think you need to buy you own home before you buy a RS4,
No point in put in Ex into a car, you can buy a car at any point get on to the property ladder.
