Workshop service campaign, definitive list
Workshop service campaign, definitive list
I want to create a list of all the workshop service campaigns.
Sometimes these get called "Recalls" it’s only classed as a recall if its associated to a safety issue.
Once we get a definitive list, I shall ask for it to be made a “sticky”
Reason is to help other RS4 owners in the future and use it as reference.
Add to it as you wish I’m sure there are some that I have missed.
PLEASE KEEP IT ON TOPIC
Service Campaigns
17D7: Oil Cooler pipe. Remedy: Double cable tie
53B3: Spare wheel well. Remedy: Insert sealant in well hub
24M4: Fuel pressure sensor. Remedy: N/K
46F2: Replace bolts securing ceramic discs to hub
24H8: SW0800
28E9: Coil Pack, campaign lists that coils numbered 07K 905 715D or F are satisfactory

Wasn't there a battery related recall?
Gone to the dark side

53B3: Spare wheel well. Remedy: Insert sealant in well hub (Basically where the battery is, obviously there is no spare wheel either).

A few of the saloons suffered from water in the boot lid. Was fixed on request but not sure if you'd class this as a recall?

Any write up on how this fix was done? I've the exact issue.lma07 wrote:A few of the saloons suffered from water in the boot lid. Was fixed on request but not sure if you'd class this as a recall?
Re: Workshop service campaign, definitive list
I had this on mine - took 3 visits to sort it out.
Fistly, it was thought it was an ineffective seal around the lights in the boot lid, so both units were replaced.
That didn't cure the problem, on closer inspection the seam welding between the inner and outer skins was noticed to be not continuous (in the area around where the light unit fits). They put in some 'filler' to seal the tiny gaps and when it was hardened they painted over it (you can't tell it has been done). This worked, but only after a third visit to do the other side! Since then no water at all, previously you could hear it sloshing around inside. To drain it out you can remove the 2 rubber plugs at the bottom corners of the boot lid.

IIRC "water in the boot lid" effected the B6 too, AFAIK there was no service campaign as such for this.

^ I take it then this water ingress problem is what recall 53B3 is all about? Can I confirm from someone in the know that as an avant owner without ceramics, the following should apply: 17D7, 24M4, 24H8, 28E9?
I don't think 24M4 has been done to my car.

Gone: Audi RS4 Avant, Alpina XD3, Smart Brabus, McLaren 12C,

Re the water in boot lid - Audi replaced the seals round the lights and that solved it (for the saloon)
Re: Workshop service campaign, definitive list
Hi - Just bought an RS4 and was wondering if anyone out there could recommend a good Audi/RS4 independent garage in the Bristol or North Somerset area (South West), for general maintenance.
