Vabration in dash. Under hard acceleration....
Re: Vabration in dash. Under hard acceleration....
Ok, so door card off, winder motor, speaker, airbag sensor and foam cover off. I still can't find the bloody vibration
it sounds like its from the front window cable but even when I tension it by hand the vibration is still there. I've temporaraly stuffed towels by the fuses and up inside the door skin and it's still there! The only thing I can think of now is to try and recreate the resonance of the exhaust at 3k-5k by pressing the pad (no sanding disc of course) of an orbital sander against the internal door skin and varying the intensity. It that doesn't work I might try by using a sound system speaker and a good drum and bass tune
This is driving me' crazy now!

Re: Vabration in dash. Under hard acceleration....
I found it !!!! after weeks of stress and hating the thing, i narrowed it down to........................Inside the wheel arch.
Basically i tried everything you have from inside the car and NOTHING made a difference, so i figured its outside the cabin.
Took the wheel off and the wheel arch liner. There were 2 plastic pipes, 1 black box and the air filter housing feed (rear one) in there.
I moved them all and made sure nothing was touching and metal pannels or the wing. I couldnt see anything obvious but after that i have not heard it in 2 weeks and am certian i have stopped it (trust me i have tried to replicate it)
Good luck, i know how annoying this one can be, i was so P***ed off i was looking to sell it!
I suspect it was the air feed up in the front wing ..... its easy to see once you get the liner off.
