When did 55k miles become hardly used?

Good spec. I recognise that reg plate from a thread on this forum but can't quite place it.
Gone to the dark side
Re: RE: 07 AUDI RS4 4.2 V8 QUATTRO Daytona Grey Big Spec
Perhaps the previous owner put most of the miles on? It's a nice looking car so was wondering if anybody could informally vouch for it, or indeed if the owner was a member here.Adam wrote:When did 55k miles become hardly used?

Also curious about the real-world difference between DRC and the KWs. I had a RS4 saloon on standard DRC a while back and have KW V3s on my S4 and the ride is very crashy, even on 18s. Despite the usual issues with DRC it's obviously one of the defining components of the RS4s character...

Good spec car imo
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar
Re: RE: 07 AUDI RS4 4.2 V8 QUATTRO Daytona Grey Big Spec
bit disingenuous if that is the case, would describe my 18k 07 plate as hardly used but not a 55k milerkidyamlo wrote: Perhaps the previous owner put most of the miles on?
anyway car looks nice with nice mods, wonder what the reserve is set at
RE: Re: RE: 07 AUDI RS4 4.2 V8 QUATTRO Daytona Grey Big Spec
Went for 25,000. Assuming the deal goes through, that's a proper bargain... no?
Re: RE: 07 AUDI RS4 4.2 V8 QUATTRO Daytona Grey Big Spec
Your 'hardly used' could be construed as a high miler, it's all relative. Personally given that the stronger engines are in cars with average (12k p.a.) or above average cars I's rather have a car that is run than one that is wrapped up and occasionally used.Adam wrote:bit disingenuous if that is the case, would describe my 18k 07 plate as hardly used but not a 55k milerkidyamlo wrote: Perhaps the previous owner put most of the miles on?

£25K for 55K miles (which certainly is NOT a low miler under any stretch of imagination) and 3 previous owners (including the seller) is OK I'd say...
I am buying my 06 plate, original owner and 38K miles for £24700.
still...you get the added bonus of the mods if you are into that...
after my "hunt" I think this is a good representation of the average price these cars go for (private sellers).
personally I was happy to buy a "clean" untouched one.... maybe I will decide to remap it myself though hehe

The context was that it was hardly used (by him) as he had use of another car (his work one).Adam wrote:bit disingenuous if that is the case, would describe my 18k 07 plate as hardly used but not a 55k milertkidyamlo wrote: Perhaps the previous owner put most of the miles on?
Nice car gone for good money with the options and spec.

Exactly, I drove an RS4 on V3s last week and found it way too fidgety. Also curious about the real-world difference between DRC and the KWs. The DRC allows a supple ride which is what you need on British roads.
Having said that V3s are very adjustable so depends how its been set up.

You say that... I've adjusted my KWs every which way and I'm still crashing about the place. That said, they are great on fast roads and I do live in the pothole and speed bump capital of North London... so perhaps I should have known better in the first place! Interesting to hear from somebody who's tried an RS4 on aftermarket sticks though. Just need to find me a reasonably priced Avant on DRC but with SS+!neckarsulm wrote:Exactly, I drove an RS4 on V3s last week and found it way too fidgety. Also curious about the real-world difference between DRC and the KWs.
