Thanks for all the encouragment. I'm defo keeping the RS4 now. She can have a disco and i have my RS4. :beerchug:

Also how do you know if you have isofix mountings. Where they standard fitted or options. Also being a bit of a novice in this area do you really need them for the child seat.

Isofix you will see and feel if you put your hands in between the bum & back of your seats. They are two metal 'U' shaped anchors situated where the the seat bottoms start to fan out (bolsters, hope that makes sense).

Sorry, they are as secure as it gets with car seats as the car seat actually locks around the Isofix fittings. I found though that they fit so snug some seat protectors are a must.

No you don't need them 100% - they are only mainly used on group 0 and 1 seats (they have a relatively low weight rating - 36 kg's total IIRC).
They are of most use if you are taking seats in and out of the car as you don't fuss about with seatbelts.
The down side is that there's no way you can fit 2 isofix seats in the rear and have room for a 3rd person.

Forgot to add - a seat belt extender is very useful for the middle seat.

Deja vu, I am also 6 5' and have two daughters, my youngest squeezes in behind me but to frank not much room for growth!!! Once she gets bigger will have to swap her for the wife in the front!!!! or maybe not. I didn't get the buckets for that reason!!

I agree that the saloon has limtations as the boot isn't that big. but being said, can still cram everything in. I didn't buy the avant as I just don't like the looks and prefer the saloon. Certainly had no issues at xmas full of everything and more.
+1 although to me the boot is a good size
