B5 RS4 - SatNav & Instruments language change German >

Friend has moved from UK to Switzerland (Tax!!) and purchased a B5 RS4.

Obviously the SatNav and instruments are in German, but he would like English.

Does Module 17 (Inst) > 10 (Adaptation) > Ch04 allow me to recode BOTH Instruments AND SatNav to English in one go by changing from 00001 to 00002?

If not what should I do?

(I have official RossTech cable and VDCS).

Depends on which nav is actually installed, there were a couple of variants on the B5s available. An Auto-Scan might help to specify.

Changing the setting at address 17 will change the language of the DIS and the DIS-only sat nav, but if he has the sat nav wqith a screen (the RNS-D) then you have to change the langauge of that separately.

There's not much information around on the RNS-D any more, and I can't remember how to do it as it's 7 years since I had one.

Turns out that it is doable on the actual SatNav: I simply looked through the menus on my B7 and then changed my language to German so I could spot the German equivalent of language change. Then looked on his to spot the same words.
