Rs4 B7 V's RS6
When my rs6 was std (apart from a milltek) we had a rolling start from about 40 mph
You'll see in the video the RS4 was noticeably quicker.
From memory the RS4 had just a remap, no exhaust.

I then had to get the engine tickled to 520 BHP

Quite surprising because the RS4 isn't that much lighter than the 6 and has less power. Although if his was remapped he might be seeing as much as 414bhp :<beep>_you:
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper

me and martinwilliams did a couple of runs few months back - his car is running about 540BHP and he said there was nothing in it between mine and his car up to 100 and thereafter the difference was only marginal. i'm running about 450BHP.

200 kilograms is significant weight difference I would think...same as putting 3 average passangers in the car.

And it's not bogged down by a slushbox.

Thats how 380hp can get the better of 450...

to confirm the effect 200kg has

In Germany last year I had a race with an S5

He had 1 person in the car (himself)
We had 4

It was neck and neck upto 150mph until I changed into 5th and took him

and the S5 only has 350bhp

I meant the B7. The weight difference isn't as flagrant.

I actually meant B7 too...official weight is around 200kg off the C5. And they seem to be around 380hp without getting the carbon buildup removed.

Drivetrain losses are the major issue I think.

For example my 1350+ kg Volvo that is front wheel drive did 100 to 200 km/h 2 seconds quicker than a 580hp C6 RS6 will. With only 420 or so horsepower.

I've witnessed the offending B7 on the rollers at MRC....

OMG what a sound
