Ok John, Bushy & Thorney - for your benefit and also mine I have come up with a cunning plan.

As of tomorrow, Andiroo Plc will setup a new division "Andiroo Really Sticky Tyre Company". We will approach the 19" tyre problem from a very unique perspective

It may come as a shock to some of you, but the Ralleigh "Chopper" rear tyre profile is, believe or not, the mutts nuts for a 19x10 30 profile wheel. My cunning plan, operated thru the new company, is to purchase (or bribe thru icecream and lollipops) as many Chopper rears as poss throughout the UK, band them together 4 at a time, and sell them thru 246.com at £12 a throw (fitting charge is £180 per rim )

Now forgive me I am wrong here, but that works out as a saving over the Pirell's - furthermore just one of them Choppers is a cracker of a tyre, so 4 together must be the coolest thing ever

Now the rub - we, 246.com, need to scour the UK for these rare little beasties. I've located 3 so far, just round the block, should be easy prey - that's nearly a wheels worth

BTW I reckon I could jiggle 3 together for an S4 wheel, but may need a Grifter tyre as a spacer

Remember, quality isn't cheap, so c'mon guys - let's do it.

LOL @ Andyroo

Bushy's too stressed with it all now

I reckon we should be on a kickback from Audi for all this research

My S4 came with P6000s and they weren't much good. My first change was to 7000s and they were no better.
I now use the Toyos, and boy, what a difference.
There is grip on turn in as well!
I have had mine on for 8k miles and theres still plenty of tread left.
Fantastic in the wet too.

Im in a tricky situation
I have been given a full refund on the Goodyears F1s, but the Tyre place i use will or can only supply the Pirellis P7000 in that size of tyre, within the next couple of days.
Aparently they have called Toyo and they seemed to have an unusual high demand for that size at the moment and stocks will be 7-10 days.
So what shall i do?

johneroberts,

Don't worry about the suspension arm, you have .3 in. more in diameter than stock. In my case I have 1 in.(255/40 R18) more, and nothing had happend. That's what you call close!!!
