Looking to buy B7 S4

Post by Ghostrider101 » Sun Jan 23, 2011 4:25 pm

Hi All,

Well first post, and hopefully one of many!

I am currently a member on another Audi site, but there doesn't seem to be much activity there for owners of B6/B7 S4s, so I thought I would introduce myself here.

I have owned various Audis over the last few years, the most recent being a 2009 S3 (which I still own but don't drive). My current daily driver is a BMW E46 M3 which is a great car, but i'd like to return to Audi as I do prefer them, but just had to scratch an itch!

So, i'm looking for a c.2006/7 S4, which I can see is not an easy task as there are not many about. I haven't driven one yet, but I do have one small niggling at the back of my mind, and that is whether it's going to feel a bit numb after the BMW.

Im not here to start a something vs. a something else type thread, i'm more after some help form anybody thats been in my particular position and can either put my mind at rest or maybe the opposite.

Either way, looking forward to hearing from you all!

Thanks

GR

I've got a B7 S4 and it probably is a bit more numb than an M3, but they are still quick and with changed ARB's I gather they are much better in the sharpness department. Personally I like mine the way it is and driven right it can be a very quick point to point weapon.

So have you bought one yet?

I dont have one yet, i'm browsing at the moment, have a holiday in Feb so will look to be changing the car for the end of Feb/March.

Finding the right one is going to be difficult though, I'm not fussy but I do want a B7, manual, lowish mileage (no more than about 60k), so when you whittle that down it does limit the number of cars available.

Hi GR

Mine, a superb example, is up for sale at the moment.

A bit older than you are looking for, but definitely worth the look.

A few members on here know the car and it has a brilliant provenance.

Cheers
